IP TAKE: This funder generally offers grants support for a period of one to three years.

PROFILE: In 2004, Jonas af Jochnick established the Jochnick Foundation through a donation of 4.5 million shares of Oriflame Cosmetics. Based in the Netherlands, the foundation seeks to “contribute to the greater good and give something back to society.” The Jochnick Foundation invests in children, youth, education, and world health. Specifically, it invests in organizations that address education and training, healthcare, youth, the arts, scientific research and development, sports and physical education, and established cultural, historical, and social institutions.

Jochnick does not geographically restrict its grantmaking. Indeed, it supports a variety of global development organizations across Africa, Europe, South America, Central America, Asia, and the Middle East. Its investments in global health include the Cerebral Palsy Society of Kenya and Last Mile Health.
