OVERVIEW: Keith Fox and family do their grantmaking through the Keith and Pamela Fox Family Trust, which prioritizes children's health and education.

BACKGROUND:  Keith Fox graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Business with a major in marketing and earned an MBA from Babson College. Fox worked at Apple Computer from 1980-1995, and then served as vice president of corporate marketing as Cisco Systems. He is the founder of Brandsoft, an enterprise software and consulting company focused on brand management.

ISSUES: 

EDUCATION: Keith and Pamela Fox’s education grantmaking has mainly supported pubic universities. Via their foundation, Keith and Pamela Fox provide ongoing support to the University of Connecticut. Smaller grants have gone to the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

PUBLIC HEALTH: The Fox Trust’s public health grantmaking has prioritized pediatric healthcare. Past grantees include the Children’s Hospital Corporation of Boston, the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis.

HUMAN SERVICES/RELIGIOUS: The Fox Trust does not name areas of specific interest for its human services funding, but recent grants have gone to Catholic organizations including Charities of Santa Clara County and Sacred Hearth Parish in Saratoga.

LOOKING FORWARD: The Foxes appear to give to a few select organizations with which they maintain personal connections. Grantmaking has remained at about $350,000 over the past few years.
