Grants for Women and Girls, Education, and Environment

The Boone Family Foundation is a social justice grantmaker and an innovator in the field of philanthropy that looks to make communities more fair places for all people. BFF seeds new organizations and initiatives that fill gaps related to its interest areas. It provides program and project support, general operating support, capital support, endowment funds and multi-year gifts. Grants to advance equity for women and girls build potential among low-income populations and focus on gender and economic equity, reproductive health and giving women and girls a voice. To improve educational outcomes for children in public schools, BFF focuses on early education, human capital, literacy, school choice, life skills, socio-emotional learning and character building. To promote environmental stewardship, BFF awards grants to improve air and water quality and to enhance green spaces. In addition to grantmaking, BFF has initiatives to help build the capacity of the local nonprofit community and further its social justice mission.

Past local grantees include Heart House, the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas and Reading Partners of North Dallas.
