BACKGROUND: Chris Clifford graduated with a B.A. from Colgate University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He cofounded Berkshire Partners in 1986 and was managing director through his retirement in 2008.

EDUCATION & YOUTH: Clifford supports his alma mater, Colgate University. The Cliffords support Keena’s school, Wheelock College, where she serves on the board.
